" Familiar Shapes "
With the Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection, Cains Moore returns to its roots, reinterpreting the heritage of British knitwear through a contemporary, sensory and sophisticated lens. The collection emerges from a dialogue between memory and modernity, drawing inspiration from the brand’s archives of the 1970s and the aesthetic of British Folk & Countryside Culture: English rural landscapes, softened atmospheres, lived-in knitwear and reassuring colours that express an authentic, timeless elegance.
Familiar Shapes creates a wardrobe built around comfort, texture and familiarity. Silhouettes remain soft and enveloping, designed to follow the body naturally, while rich textures and softly blended surfaces introduce depth and movement. The collection evokes the understated warmth of British interiors in the 1970s, reinterpreting their language through a contemporary and refined sensibility.
The exploration of knitwear continues to lie at the heart of Cains Moore’s identity: wool, Shetland wool, alpaca and merino wool are selected for their ability to combine lightness, warmth and an exceptionally soft handle. The brand’s iconic knitwear techniques evolve season after season through new explorations of texture and colour: mouliné is renewed through sophisticated and vibrant combinations, while all-over cables and three-dimensional jacquards enhance the tactile quality of the garments.
The palette moves between natural and dusty hues: moss and sage greens meet ivory, cream and coral pink; burnt brown and bordeaux are enlivened by touches of powder blue and écru. Deep yet reassuring colours, conveying a sense of intimacy, balance and harmony.
With the new Fall/Winter collection, Cains Moore reaffirms its vision of knitwear as a sensory and emotional experience: essential in its shapes, rich in its surfaces and sophisticated in its colours.
A collection that transforms heritage, craftsmanship and British memory into a contemporary, cultured and versatile language.
