FW 22-23: behind the scenes

This year, for the shooting Fall Winter 22/23, we chose an exceptional and meaningful location: Ferrara, birthplace of our brand from which it draws its origins. Precisely in 2023 we will celebrate our 70th anniversary since our foundation in 1953.

Among the wonderful locations that hosted our staff during the day it has to be mentioned the Municipal Theater of Ferrara, in particular the Ridotto and the Rotonda Foschini, symbolic and iconic places of the city.
The Ridotto, with its painted vaulted ceiling and its gilded walls, was the seat of the Società del Casino dei Signori Nobili in the nineteenth century and a space reserved for cultural events.
The Rotonda Foschini is the external part of the Theater and it was formerly used for easing the traffic of the public, that is, the carriages left passengers to Corso Martiri della Libertà and then left on Corso della Giovecca.

In the second part of the day we had the exclusive opportunity to shoot inside one of the most representative and important buildings of Ferrara's history: the great Palazzo Calcagnini.
Thanks to the researches done in, we have learnt that the construction of the palace dates back to the first half of the 16th century and it is a building with a central courtyard composed by a central structure and two asymmetrical side parts. Inside, we were able to admire frescoed and decorated rooms; for example the entrance hall with its amazing coffered ceiling, the Presidency room with eighteenth-century decorations and the conference room with nineteenth-century decorations.
It is important to remember that the Tibertelli family and Filippo de Pisis lived in the noble palace from 1906: the caretaker of the structure explained us that, in the palace, De Pisis began to paint and set up his rooms-museum and he met Giorgio de Chirico and Alberto Savinio with whom he shared the metaphysical style.
The metaphysical current, the study of the absolute knowledge of reality, represents the vision of our brand: the garments we make with the best yarns and through the finest processes don't follow the latest fashion "trends" but become absolute must-haves, embodying an eternal style that is handed down over time. What better place to frame our collection?
