Hand washing
Use a mild, neutral detergent in small amounts to prevent felting
Wash in lukewarm water, one garment at a time, inside out, without rubbing, then leave to soak.
Important: do not leave the garment soaking for more than 5 minutes, or the detergent may damage the fibres and cause the colour to run.

Machine washing
Place the garment in the machine inside out or, better still, inside a mesh laundry bag.
Add a very small amount of mild wool detergent
Select a short wool or delicates programme in cold water
Turn off the spin cycle
